Not paid to marry

Sara AliSara Khan, like most of the previous evictees from Bigg Boss 4, is happy to be out of the House. “I knew I would be out this week,”she says. “I had spoken rudely to Bigg Boss but there was too much being said and done, and I had to stand up for myself.”

Sadhana from Bidaai (the show ended when she was in the House) asserts that there were offers from various production houses for daily soaps and two reality shows. She took on Bigg Boss because she wanted to experience it for herself. “Now I’ll look into the other offers,” says Khan, but only after a lavish reception which is planned for January 15.

The wedding took place inside the House.“I went inside as a stranger and came out with a bunch of buddies, including Ashmit (Patel) and Veena (Mallik). I’d like to have them at my reception,” she adds.

The actor insists that neither husband Ali Merchant nor she were paid to solemnise their relationship on national TV. She also clarifies that Merchant didn’t inform her about her granny’s death when he entered the House to be with her because according to the contract she’d signed, he wasn’t allowed to give her news of the outside world. “If the allegations are true, we want our Rs 50 lakh now,” she says. She now plans to visit her hometown Bhopal to pray for her granny’s soul.

She adds that the only contestant who breached her contract was Dolly Bindra. “She knew what was happening inside the house before reentering and pitted us against each other,” she says. “Hopefully when we meet again, she’ll be a different person from what she was inside the House.”
