Television Follows Bollywood Path, Explores Out Of Mumbai

Mera Naam Karegi Roshan
The television industry of India has come a long way and is now crossing the boundary of sets in Mumbai while trying to explore the original location for their stories. This gives not only a realistic feel to the story but also a fresh pace to any show that tries to venture the arena.
It is not like that television industry has got bored of the city of dreams but they are just exploring new avenues to give something new to their viewers. This new trend has been set by Zee TV’s recently concluded show ‘12/24 Karol Bagh’, which is the first television soap to have shot in Delhi entirely. It got lots of appreciation for the authentic representation of a typical Delhi based middle class family and how they deal with various situations in their lives.
Then we have seen serials like ‘Sanjog Se Bani Sangini’, which has been shot in the places like Haridwar and Pataudi. There are three more serials of Zee TV, which have been shot outside Mumbai. These are ‘Ram Milayi Jodi’, whose shooting has been done in Delhi, recently launched ‘Bhagowali’, which has been shot in Patna, ‘Yahan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli’ is shot in Madhya Pradesh’s Orcha and Ayodhya became the shooting place for ‘Mera Naam Karegi Roshan’.
It seems that television industry is slowly but steadily following the path of Bollywood, which goes around the world for shooting various scenes.
Zee TV’s Sukesh Motwani said that it also helps in expanding the industry outside Mumbai and increases their reach to all the people around the country. People can get a real feel of the story when the actual place is shown with its tradition and cultures.
