At the beginning of January, Colors television network will get ready to broadcast its new daily soap 'Mukti Bandhan'.
Going by the trailers that are presently doing the rounds on Colors, 'Mukti Bandhan' seems to be loosely based on the real life story of Indian business tycoon Dhirubhai Ambani. However, the makers of the television serial are not prepared to agree on this matter. In a statement to the media, the producers of 'Mukti Bandhan' have announced that their serial is based on a Gujarati novel of the same name.
According to the statements issued by the production team of 'Mukti Bandhan', they have purchased the rights to showcase the novel's story on television. And it is according to the story written on the pages of the Gujarati novel that the makers of the Colors show will frame the television format of 'Mukti Bandhan'. The novel penned by well known novelist Harkisan Mehta centers on the life of a man named Ishwarlal Motilal Virani and his rags to riches story.
The protagonist of the Colors television serial 'Mukti Bandhan', Ishwarlal Motilal Virani, will be portrayed by Shiv Subramaniam, the same man who was earlier credited for giving Bollywood some superb scripts in the form of 1942 A Love Story or the more recent Teen Patti. 'Mukti Bandhan' will go on air at the 9.30 night slot on Colors after the end of the its reality show 'Bigg Boss' from the 10th of January.
